Suffering from Loneliness…

Well it has been a while since I have been on and I havent updated so here it is.  Like most of you have known I moved from Arizona to Cali because I needed a fresh new start and a new perspective on what i need in life.  As much as I miss the people that made the bad stuff into a great time, i needed to get out of Arizona.  It was making me literally sad, depressed and for the most part poor.  So I moved out to Cali to start working at Disney (for those that don’t know I formerly worked for Disney in 2004 right before I left for a short term hiatus to the Army) but it didn’t happen as fast i wanted to.  I stayed unemployed for almost a month here in Cali.  Here is where i give thanks to my bro and sis in law for keeping me in check for that month.  Helping me with my resume and pushing to find a job.  And i did! I found one working as a cook for a nice little chain called KyoChon.  For those that don’t know kyoChon is a chain Korean fried chicken place.  So i worked there for a month when i got the call to come back to Disney but in a role that I didn’t exactly want but ultimately accepted because come on its Disney it looks great on paper, not to mention they have always been good to me.   Also thanks to my bro, he set me up with a production company he is working for.  I have been doing some freelance Assistant Editing work while working for Disney.  Even though its only a couple of days here and there its still good money doing what i love to do and want to do forever… Editing.  Well i thought moving out here and working at Disney would bring out of my shell of being a hermit to being more for a lack of better term “social”…

Boy was i wrong… I am not going to lie i have been miserable these last couple of months.  My professional life has become 10x better than what it was when i was in AZ but my social life has suffered tremendously.  I have rarely gone any where or done anything worth mentioning.  The only time go out to do something with “friends” is either hanging out with my sis in law and bro or by myself.  It is sad really.  Going to movies by myself has become really depressing.  I am used to going by myself but it never felt depressing until now.  I haven’t met the right people to hang out with.  Either the majority are too busy to spend time with me or are too young and have absolutely nothing in common with me.  I have been getting in a bad funk in which Id rather be working my ass off because i am that depressed.  I am really in need of a friend out here in Cali but again they are either too busy or just dont really care… Well for what it’s worth i have accomplished what i set out to do here and that is find a job.  Hopefully work can fill in the hole of missing friendship and companionship.  My theory right now is if I work more the less i think about loneliness, and its not going to well…because i work alot and still think about my loneliness…

Part 1 completed now on to part 2…

Hey guys! Havent posted much lately due to me being busy trying to find work out here in Cali… But after a long month of searching, my search is officially over.  Now for part 2, save as much money as possible to get a car.  If i do that i can probably score a kick ass PA job in LA. Part 3 includes getting my stuff out here once i have the time to do it and find out if my credits from AZ Community college can help me transfer to a state college out here.  Part 4 relaunch DobroGTV and a new channel with some help.   I havent posted new material because of my living situation and not having my comp on me so Dobro is still on hold for the mean time… Thanx to all of you for supporting me and sticking around after all of this… DobroGTV will rise from the ashes… once i get my stuff out here at least lol

New change is happening sooner than expected

Well its official im leaving AZ for CA on 21st… I got my interview at Disney for the Stage Technician job which is a great opportunity for me.  It’s something i wanted to do since i started doing video production… I have learned alot being in AZ and made alot of wonderful life long friends but at the same time i have had more troubles being here and with the economy being as bad as it is finding a job here has been almost impossible.  I need a new location and being in So-Cal will help level me out.  Im tired of hot weather and yes i know CA gets hot too but not this extreme.  But i will miss my friends alot here.  But its time for me to move on…
